When an official trailer is available for a movie, it can be uploaded via ShowMS. A link to play the trailer is then incorporated into the movie pages and screens.
The following details and assets are required to set up a movie trailer:
- Title
- Description
- The video file or video URL
- Rating
- Thumbnail Image
- Playcard Image
- OG Image
Optionally, the following details can be added to a movie trailer:
- Partner API ID
- Tags
- Closed Captions
- Its associated movie
Movie Trailers Workflow
When uploading a trailer via ShowMS, it goes through a number of states before being published on the platform:
- Work In Progress - when the trailer is saved, a draft version will appear in this state.
- Processing - after first uploading the video file, the trailer will be in this state until the video has been processed and it is ready to be published.
- Scheduled - set a publish date and time for trailers. Alternatively, a trailer can be set to publish when its associated movie arrives on the platform.
- Published - trailers that are currently live on the platform. Note that the published trailers won't appear if the movie is no longer on the platform.
- Removed - trailers that have been unpublished from the platform.
